GIVING BACK
We are proud supporters of our two chosen charities; 'Room to Read' & 'Headcase.'
As a bit of a bookworm myself, Room to Read was an obvious charity choice for Abbot Kinney. The charity aims to seek to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities across the globe, by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. They work closely with partner organisations, communities and governments to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, as well as supporting girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond. Having seen firsthand the benefit and positive impact of education through my corporate job as well as a visit to a South African kindergarten, it seemed a perfect fit. Just a £35 contribution to Room to Read funds an under privileged child to read and write for a year Learn more
Headcase is the only UK charity to dedicate its funding solely to researching a cure for Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumours. Knowing a good friend personally affected by this type of tumour, I wanted to show my support in any way possible. Headcase is a charity that is ran solely by volunteers and every penny can make a real difference to their vitally important work. Just £200 pays for an extra day of research into this type of hugely under researched cancer. Learn more
